Newbury Street, the popular shopping and dining destination in the Back Bay of Boston, will be car-free from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m, on July 14, July 21, July 28, August 4, August 11, August 18, August 25, and September 1. (The pedestrian-only initiative, returned this summer on June 30.)
The street will be closed to vehicular traffic from Berkeley Street to Massachusetts Avenue. Parking will be restricted on Newbury Street and adjacent streets, with enforcement beginning at 5:00 a.m.
"Open Newbury Street" is part of the "Boston Open Streets" program.
